Wang Yang Wang Yang graduated from the Lighting Design Department of the Chinese Drama Academy. He now works in the Beijing Opera and Dance Theater. His main credits are: Lighting Design for Na Xi Musical Lu Ban Lu Rao (The Paradise of Youth and Love), the drama Conspiracy of Skaben, Lei Yu, Kun Qu Dream in Dream, Zhu Zhe Qin’s Concert, Tai He Mai Tian’s 10 year Anniversary Concert, “Queen and Dream” Concert of Li Yu Chun, closure of the “Year of China and France Culture”, Chinese Pop Music 20 year anniversary “2006 Super Live”, the Aviation Ministry 50 year Anniversary Concert, the Inauguration of International Medicine Exhibition, and the Beijing 10th Annual Dancing Competition. Wang Yang’s ideas for Carmen--Pasionate Love: Passion, the badge of existence. Passion, the power of creation. Whether the bridge between love and hate , cause for the collision of soul and body, or catalyst in the struggle between emotion and reason, passion is always immense and potent. When sound, light, and electricity are embedded into time and space, you and I are the moment. On stage, the intensity of light reflects unrestrained passion; dimness reflects the depth of the spirit. In the spacious darkness, the only place to be illuminated is the mysterious place exclusively belonging to you.
