	Prof. Elmar Ottenthal As one of Austria’s most distinguished directors, Professor Ottenthal’s shows have performed at the Scala di Milano, Vienna State Opera, Liceu Barcelona, Theatre de la Monnaie Brussels and Trinity College, Cambridge. His impressive repertoire of sixty-plus productions includes Gaudi, The Gambler, Blood Red Roses and Falco meets Amadeus. Professor Ottenthal’s innovative approach to work and his rich and diverse experience as a director have brought him to China. Particularly known for his ability to integrate classical music with modern dance and stage design, Professor Ottenthal’s next challenge is to integrate Eastern and Western culture in performance art. ‘Carmen-Passionate Love’ is the first musical he will be directing in China. An unusual blend of Chinese and European music and values, ‘Carmen-Passionate Love’ is not only a visual spectacle but also an inspiring story. With an estimated 3.5 million people having attended his shows in Europe, Professor Ottenthal’s newest production will undoubtedly gain huge popularity among Chinese audiences.
